If you sit outside you have a wonderful view of the boats on the river and the surroundings. Very lucky to have this.

What a delightful find, went there with friends and had a lovely afternoon. Staff are very polite and friendly wonderful time had by all.

Visited here for the first time yesterday 26th July 2025. Wow, what a fantastic place. Lovely food, fab staff, and great views of the river. Will definitely come again.

The staff were completely disinterested and not bothered whether or not you ordered. I wanted a cheese toastie, but the option on the menu was cheese and ham. As I don't eat meat, I asked for extra cheese. When it arrived, it wasn't very well toasted and had hardly any cheese, let alone any extra. We had to clear a table in order to sit in the shade and in all the time we were there, nobody cleared any of the tables. Really sloppy service and some of the cutlery was not clean. Will not be going again.

Someone has to come in and help manage these young people who are out of their depth on a busy sunny morning. Over an hour for the wrong order . Lots of miscommunication/excuses behind the scenes and no one holding it together. Polite yes. Willing yes. There are so many tables and take aways I don't think they can cope with the capacity. But good when it finally arrived.

We used to be regulars at the Ferry Coffee Shop and always enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the recent halving of confectionery portions has put us off visiting. We’d much prefer a price increase over a quiet reduction in quality—it feels more transparent and fair.

Location excellent unfortunately the service was very poor making lots of mistakes with people's orders and showing very little interest in customers services, food was OK.....such a shame

Had to wait 15mins for a bacon sandwich and after 25mins was the only 1 of 6 items to arrive. Politely enquired about the rest of our order and was told it was next to be made. Then still only half the order came. Waiter just bluntly said they were busy. Politely pointed out other tables who arrived after us had been fully served food and drinks while we still waited. He just looked blankly at us, just short of sighing at us. Such a frustrating and disappointing visit. No apology, made to feel lucky to be served at all.

Went with a group of residents for a refeshing ice cream after being out all day .loverly place to visit and the scenery was great

Beautiful coffee shop with views of the river, tucked away. The food was excellent. I had the tuna melt and it was so big I took half home. Great coffee and service too. Reasonably priced

Can’t fault the breakfast bap! The sausages are incredible!

Cold cake, bad service, and unclean tables. While the view may be hard to beat, this coffee shop only runs on the fact that there’s no other coffee shop around.

Been there twice now. Service was good, and so was the food I had. No problems.

The Ferry used to be so good, but it’s really gone off. I used to go there regularly, but today will be my last visit. In the past I have returned scrambled eggs, which were cold, small and very bad value for money. In the past I have been given stale bread, but today my soup was cold and my neighbours falafel, she said was disgusting. So sorry Ferry, you have lost my custom.

Lovely place by the river. Had the fisherman’s breakfast which was good, only I thought that the hash brown was lacklustre and the toast was missing butter. Service was good, nothing to complain about considering how busy they were. Atmosphere was great, packed to the brim on a Saturday afternoon

Slowwwwwwww! Was told that 45 minutes was the wait for food, so ok waited! After 35 minutes nothing, stupidly waited until 50 minutes. Asked a member of staff and found that out original order had never gone through! So we left ,they refunded food money in cash, as the manager was not around to do a card refund (how convenient!) didn't really get much of an apology, so will not be getting my custom again.

Lovely spot for a bit of coffee and food. Quality always decent and ample parking..

Visited this coffee shop today and was utterly disappointed. Have been here several times before and previous visits have been OK but todays experience has left me not wishing to return. We had 2 toasted sandwiches, a hot chocolate and a cappuccino which I'd asked to be extra hot. The drinks arrived first and they were lukewarm. When the food arrived, I asked the waitress if we could have the drinks hotter and she apologised and said she would bring fresh ones.......... These were also just warm! the toasted sandwiches looked very anaemic and the cheese in my ham and cheese toasties was barely melted. The bacon in the bacon brie and cranberry toastie was salty as hell and there was a dollop of bitter cranberry sauce at the bottom. For the prices they are charging I would have expected maybe a few chips or crisps on the plate rather than a bit of uninviting brown edged salad. I don't normally complain but felt that They really need to up their game. I was shocked to see so many empty seats but now I know why. The table next to us also had poorly presented food which they sent back. Such a shame

Great location for a drink/snack after a walk along the river. Please bring back Tea Pigs tea as the brand you have changed to is not as good. Also, you have halved the cake portion sizes and still charge the same amount which is very disappointing.

Only 4 for service as it was quiet but they forgot my tea. Would imagine it'd fab when busy but lovely sitting by the river first thing. Had cake to take away - Victoria sponge 🧽 which was lovely. Will return and take friends too.

Very nice little cafe with decent quality coffee and nice selection of pastries sandwiches etc. even has a nice little gift shop and garden at the back. Amazing view and lovely seating areas. Main limitation is the hot food, I’ve tried the avacado on toast and it was overpriced ready made rubbish. If they are making it fresh, they need to drastically improve the way they prepare it. And if they are not, they need to start cooking things to order especially for the price.
